All classes are held once a week (1 per week) for two hours (2 hours). We DO NOT OFFER EXPEDITED CLASSES.
WET RECKLESS PROGRAM (23103.5 VC; SB1176)
BAC OF .09 OR BELOW
The Wet Reckless Program is a 12-hour alcohol education program. You will be scheduled into a class for a six-week duration. Attendance and participation are mandatory in this short program. The fee for this program is $238.55, which must be paid at the time of your enrollment. DMV does not grant a restricted drivers license for a person who enrolls into a Wet Reckless program.
12-HOUR EDUCATION PROGRAM (23410 VC)
ANY BAC
The 12-Hour Education Program is a six-week program for persons between the ages of 18 - 20. You will be scheduled into a class. This class will be held once a week for two hours. Attendance, punctuality and participation are mandatory. The fee for this program is $241.55, which must be paid at the time of enrollment. DMV does not grant a restricted driver’s license for a person under 21 per California’s Zero Tolerance Law for Minors a 1 year suspension is given.
THREE-MONTH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE PROGRAM (23152A, B VC; AB541)
BAC OF .08 - .19
The Three-Month Drinking Driver Program is a 15-week course consisting of 31.5 hours of total participation. The program consists of an initial enrollment interview, sixteen hours (16 hours) of alcohol/drug education sessions, fourteen hours (14 hours) of group awareness sessions and three (3) individual counseling sessions. The fee for this program is $567.55 with 50% of the fee required at the time of enrollment for any person who does not qualify for a fee waiver or an extended payment plan. The balance on the account will be paid through a monthly payment plan. At the time of enrollment clients will have the option to request Proof of Enrollment (DL107) to be sent electronically to the DMV to apply for a restricted driver’s license if a)they were over 21 and b)there case is within the required time of completion.
SIX-MONTH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE PROGRAM (AB762)
BAC OF .20 OR ABOVE CONVICTED BEFORE JAN. 01,2006
The Six-Month Driving Under the Influence Program is a minimum of six months, forty-eight hours (48 hours) inclusive. The program consists of an initial enrollment interview, twelve hours (12 hours) of educational sessions, thirty-four hours (34 hours) comprised of group counseling sessions, an assessment interview, 4 status checks and end of program interview. The fee for this program is $893.55 with 50% of the fee required at the time of enrollment for any person who does not qualify for a fee waiver or an extended payment plan. The balance due on account will be paid through a monthly payment plan. At the time of enrollment clients will have the option to request Proof of Enrollment (DL107) to be sent electronically to the DMV to apply for a restricted driver’s license if a) they were over 21 and b)there case is within the required time of completion.
NINE-MONTH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE PROGRAM (AB1353)
BAC OF .20 OR ABOVE CONVICTED AFTER JAN. 01,2006
The Nine-Month Drinking Driver Program is a minimum of nine months, sixty hours (60 hours) inclusive. The program consists of an initial enrollment interview, twelve hours (12 hours) of educational sessions, forty-six hours (46 hours) comprised of group counseling sessions, an assessment interview, 6 status checks and end of program interview. The fee for this program is $1,167.00 with 50% of the fee required at the time of enrollment for any person who does not qualify for a fee waiver or an extended payment plan. The balance due on account will be paid through a monthly payment plan. At the time of enrollment clients will have the option to request Proof of Enrollment (DL107) to be sent electronically to the DMV to apply for a restricted driver’s license if a) they were over 21 and b) there case is within the required time of completion.

Notes:
PROGRAM SOBRIETY will be enforced at all times. We require that you do not consume any drugs, alcohol, and/or alcohol products (cough syrup) 24 hours prior to your class. If you exude the odor of alcohol, or show signs of behavior of being under the influence per Title 9, Program Sobriety; you will be breathalized and/or screened with an approved chemical screening device and you will be asked to leave the premises and your program will be dismissed.
PROGRAM TRANSFERS - If you do not live in Santa Barbara you must obtain a program transfer from Zona Seca. Transfers are only to another state licensed program; Zona Seca does not transfer cases out-of-state. The transfer fee is $65.00. It is your responsibility to contact Zona Seca within ten days (10 days) from your court date to obtain a transfer. A transfer can be done over the phone/fax with a Visa or MasterCard or by mail with a copy of your court referral and a money order paid in the order to Zona Seca, Inc. DUI.
EXTENDED PAYMENT PLAN is made available to any participant who must document (SSI monthly statements, Disability statements, General Relief statements; showing current amounts granted, tax documents, etc.) that their gross monthly income is lower that the Santa Barbara County Median Family Income of $1,720.00 as per Health Data Summaries for California Counties1992, but greater than the general assistance benefit level of $308.00 as per Santa Barbara County General Relief Benefit 1992.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
1. The goals of the Driving Under the Influence Program are to establish an atmosphere that will enable the participants to address successfully his/her alcohol or other drug abuse and to protect the health and safety of the public on the highways.
2. The objective of the program includes, but is not limited to the following:

Provide education to each participant by providing factual and accurate information about chemical dependency, the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the individual, the family and the community. |

Encourage and motivate each participant to evaluate and understand the need and accept the responsibility for their individual decision about continued use and/or abuse of alcohol and/or other drugs. |

Provide support and models that can help each participant make appropriate and permanent lifestyle changes that help prevent further alcohol or drug related problems in any capacity. |
